How To Perform Acupuncture Without Needles
The popularity of acupuncture without needles is on the rise as more people turn to natural healing remedies instead of becoming medicated with prescriptions. This procedure can relieve many types of discomforts and pains almost instantly by using a therapeutic type of technique that can also be used to stimulate powers that are considered healing of the body and mind at the same time.
Traditional acupuncture is an amazing ancient Chinese technique that uses extremely fine needles that are placed in very specific parts of the body to stabilize energies that are flowing through, all while building a perfect balance.
The Two Golden Rules
The two important points when performing acupuncture without needles is to find the correct pressure point and stimulate the point properly. The spots can be a bit tricky for a novice to locate at first but with practice you will be able to locate them quite easily.
You will want to use either the tip of your forefinger to probe the point as deep as you are able to. Some people, however, find their thumb tip easier to work with. Aim to apply around 20 pounds of pressure. These pressure points are only about the size of a pinhead which is why you will need to practice. When you find a pressure point it will let itself be known with a twinge of sensitivity.
The secret to stimulating the point properly is with deep pressure. The spot should be massaged with a digging motion. Sometimes a few seconds of pressure is enough to properly unblock the control point and other times it may take several minutes.
Pressure points, for the most part are duplicated bilaterally so after stimulation on one side of your body is complete, you can move on to the other side. You will often find that one side is more sensitive than the other. Also, if pain has been relieved with only applying pressure to one side, you may not need to move on to the other side as this can often bring the pain back and then you have to start over again.
Fast Relief
There are at least 115 pairs of acupuncture without needles pressure points on your body and finding the correct point could be fairly time consuming. However, there are six easily found points that have the ability to stop an emergency symptom in a matter of seconds.
The six pairs are located on your lower legs and arms and can ultimately affect a very large segment of your body. When you notice a problem such as headache, muscle sprain, indigestion or more than 250 other disorders, stimulate one of the pressure points and your symptoms should be immediately relieved. Upon doing so, you may also feel your whole system relax and perspiration may form on your brow or shoulders.
Primary Pressure Point
The primary point of acupuncture without needles is found between your thumb and forefinger on top of your hand. To find it, place your left thumb tip on top of your right hand and make a pincer so the left forefinger is underneath the pressure point. Probe deeply with your thumb tip until you find the sensitive spot. This point can heal pretty much any pain related to the head, face and neck.
Is It Safe For Everyone?
Acupuncture without needles is proven to be effective in emergency situations and can even help with someone going into shock from panic and pain. It is not recommended for pregnant women, especially those that in their third trimester or for those that suffer from chronic heart problems.
It is recommended to not perform this procedure within four hours of consuming alcohol or taking any type of drugs or at least a half hour within eating a full meal, exercising or taking a hot bath because your primal energy is out of balance.
It takes a lot of time and practice to find all 115 pressure points but once you do, you can feel a healing power for almost any ailment and live virtually pain free.
